The Commission’s powers extend to the investigation of monopolies. Where any monopoly is found to exist, the Tribunal’s remedial efforts may include the prohibition of an acquisition transaction, business break-up, forced publication of price lists, etc.
Also, the Commission’s oversight over monopolies is not restricted to those arising in Nigeria, if the undertaking is of Nigerian origin.
