Biography

Saratu Mama Shafii was born on the 25th of December, 1962 in Bida Niger State. She got her LLB (Hons) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and was was called to the Bar as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Nigeria in 1985.

Saratu Mama Shafii, started her working career at the Niger State Ministry of Justice, Minna before proceeding to the Corporate Affairs Commission where she spent 29 years and rose from Senior Litigation Officer to the directorate level.
In the course of her career, she belongs to several professional bodies such as Member Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Member – International Bar Association (IBA), Member -Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, (ICMC), Associate Member- Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Member Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Member – Federation of Muslim Women (FOMWAN), Member – Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Fellow- African Business School (ABS).
She acted as the Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission between December 2019 and January 2020 from where she appointed as The Chairman Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal in December 2020.
