Dr. Umar D. Duhu was born on the 31st day of December, 1966 in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State. He attended Ramat Polytechnic Maiduguri, Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Adamawa State University – Mubi, University of Liverpool, South Wales University and University of East London in the United Kingdom.
Umar Duhu held several positions in the progression of his career in both Public and Private Sector which include; Assistant Director Technical, Madagali LGC, Chairman DIA Consults Ltd., Deputy Director and Special Assistant to the Honorable Minister for Defence, Chairman of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in FCT – Abuja and in Adamawa State, the Pioneer National Vice Chairman – North East, All Progressives Congress (APC) and was Chairman of several APC Congresses and Appeal Committees. He is presently the Honourable Member representing the North – East at the Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal (CCPT).
